FAQs

What does saddle fitting cost?

This really does depend on the job and the nature of the changes we have to make to your exciting saddle or a replacement.

Michael charges £35 per horse plus £1 per mile travel one way.

Group with friends, livery or colleagues for shared travel costs.

Availability varies, please call sooner rather than later.

Would you repair or reflock my saddle?

If your saddle is right for your horse, but just needs some TLC then Michael can and will re-flock or make adjustments that would bring out the best in it for you.

Can I buy saddles through you?

Yes, we stock a large range of new and second hand saddles and Michael will be able to advise as to what could work best for your horse, seat and budget with honesty and a genuine passion for finding the right fit.

Can I buy elsewhere and have a saddle fitted with you?

We get it, there are lots of 2nd hand saddles out there and tempting deals on new saddles. We highly recommend having a consultation with Michael before you decide to buy a saddle, or have yours adjusted.

How far do you travel?

Michael works across Herefordshire, Shropshire, Gloucestershire and Powys. He has fitted everything from stocky first ponies, native breeds, ex-racehorses, hunters and everything in between. Please give Michael a call to discuss and find out if he can travel to you.

How long does the process take?

After an initial call, Michael will arrange to meet you with your horse. You are likely to have a well fitting saddle by the end of that session. Sometimes it can take a little longer if adjustments need to be made or anything needs to be ordered.
